Our family-owned Lucky Buck Cafe is the closest diner to the Westgate entrance of Yosemite National Park.
Our menu features long-standing favorites that leave our guests satisfied. We offer delicious appetizers, signature soups & salads, tasty sandwiches, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu items. We are open seasonally from March 15th through November 11th on a daily basis. From November 12th through March 14th we are open for Weekend and Holiday dining. Due to the impact of COVID-19, restaurant operations are subject to change so please call 209-962-5181 to confirm hours.

In the style of a classic diner, the Lucky Buck Cafe offers to counter seating as a nod to days past. There is also ample table seating with a choice of padded benches or tables and chairs to enjoy unrestricted elbow room while enjoying a hearty meal.

We are a 100% non-smoking restaurant. Smoking is prohibited inside and outside of our cafe. An 18% service charge will be added to parties of 6 or more. We have ice-cold beer and a wine menu. The corkage fee is $10 per bottle of wine. Please see our FAQ pages for additional information.

We are pleased to offer ample complimentary on-site parking, fantastic food, and friendly service. Guests can eat in the diner, or call ahead for a take-out order. In our quest to be eco-friendly, we have taken steps to lower our water consumption. Straws are only available upon request, and we use compostable cardboard takeout containers. Our hot and cold beverage cups are made of compostable paper, and single-use plastics are limited to lids, straws, and condiment cups.
We provide ample complimentary parking for guests of the cafe.
We do not provide WiFi. We encourage our guests to talk to each other.

The Lucky Buck Cafe is open from 7 am to 9 pm daily; However, during peak season May through September, we are open until 10 pm daily. WE ARE OPEN SEASONALLY and are open for business from March 15th through November 11th. Lucky Buck Cafe is closed from November 12th through March 14th.
Reservations are not accepted unless you have a party of 10 or more people. Reservations are preferred for private parties of ten (10) or more people. We kindly request a 48-hour notice as a courtesy to our staff. A deposit may be requested for large parties, or a credit card authorization. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for large parties. Failing to cancel may result in a cancellation fee. Service charges: an 18% service charge will be added to parties of 6 or more. Call 209-962-5181 to make a large party reservation.
We have a minimum order amount of USD 2.99. A USD 5.00 fee may be charged for split/shared orders.
We gladly accept all major cards - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Pets are not permitted at the Lucky Buck Cafe.
This restaurant is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to patrons or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. While accidents do happen, patrons will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence. NO PETS ALLOWED. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to be at the Lucky Buck Cafe. Please keep your furry friends at home. This is a NON-SMOKING CAFE. Smoking of any kind is prohibited in the cafe or on the porch. We gladly accept take-out orders, however, no outside food or beverages may be consumed on-premises. For safety, patrons must wear shoes and clothing.
